New York, SANA- The mission of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Nations renewed its call to the international community

New York-Sana

The mission of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Nations renewed its call on the international community to hold the Zionist entity accountable for the horrific crimes it is committing against the Palestinians.

The Iranian news agency IRNA stated that the mission confirmed in a statement following the release of the report of the Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the occupied Palestinian territories, Michael Lynk, during a session of the Third Committee of the United Nations General Assembly that “the Palestinian people have fallen victim to the Zionist entity’s massive, systematic and widespread violations of human rights.” Pointing out that the use of live ammunition against civilians is an example of the crimes committed by this entity against humanity with the support of the United States of America.

The statement called on the international community to hold the Zionist entity responsible for the horrific and seemingly endless crimes it is committing and to oblige it to lift the siege on the Gaza Strip, which deprives the Palestinians of meeting their necessary needs and puts a major obstacle in the way of efforts to combat the Corona virus in Gaza.

The statement also pointed out that the dictatorial Zionist entity violated freedom of expression by intimidating and arresting journalists who cover news of human rights violations against Palestinians.

In his report, Link confirmed that the Israeli entity's designation of six Palestinian non-governmental organizations as "terrorist" organizations constitutes a severe blow to the Palestinian human rights movement and to all human rights movements in the world.
