Kochel - There was a serious accident on Tuesday (October 26th) around noon on the B11 near Einsiedl am Walchensee.
An Audi driver had to be reanimated.
The accident occurred on Tuesday at 11:40 a.m. on federal road 11 near Einsiedl. According to the police, a 31-year-old from Beilngries was driving his Audi TT from Walchensee towards Einsiedl. In the sharp right-hand bend before Einsiedl, the man came into the opposite lane, according to the police, "probably because of excessive speed". There his Audi collided with an oncoming truck. The Audi driver was seriously injured, had to be resuscitated and was then flown to the Murnau accident clinic by rescue helicopter. His 31-year-old co-driver from Munich suffered serious injuries and was also brought to the Murnau Clinic by the ambulance service. The 49-year-old driver of the articulated lorry from Munich was uninjured in the accident,but was looked after by forces from the crisis intervention team on site.
Damage of around 100,000 euros
The accident caused property damage of an estimated 100,000 euros.
Both the Audi and the tractor unit suffered a total write-off.
A special company from Bad Tölz was used for the recovery and towing.
The public prosecutor's office requested an expert to clarify the exact course of the accident.
At around 4 p.m., the four-hour full lockdown at the accident site continued.
The fire brigades from Wallgau and Walchensee are deployed to provide technical assistance and diversion.
When the lockdown will be lifted cannot be foreseen exactly, the police said shortly after 4 p.m.
