According to the police, there was a large-scale search for missing persons between Monday evening and Tuesday noon in the Benediktbeuern, Sindelsdorf and Penzberg area.
As the police headquarters in Upper Bavaria South announced on request on Tuesday afternoon, they were looking for a person, starting in Benediktbeuern.
Numerous police and rescue workers were deployed, including some fire brigades.

A helicopter is searching the area, and a dog squad has been requested.
For safety reasons, the train traffic was also slowed down or stopped, it said.
Rail travelers had reported that the trains were temporarily not running at all or only at walking pace.

The search operation was not ended until shortly after noon, as the Rosenheim officials further reported.
The police did not provide any details about who was missing and how the search ended.
The Penzberg police station was in charge of operations, but they did not want to comment on the matter yesterday.
