Augustiner is becoming more and more dominant in the east of Germering in the Munich district of Freiham.

Germering / Freiham - After the Edith Haberland Wagner Foundation, which emerged from the brewery, acquired the castle of Gut Freiham, the logistics center in the vicinity of Germering can now also grow. The district committee (BA) Aubing-Lochhausen-Langwied has not expressed any fundamental objections. The brewery wants to build a three-storey bottle filling building. Another logistics hall with an underground car park and either an extension of the existing logistics hall with a high-bay warehouse or a third hall are also planned. Aubing's BA boss Sebastian Kriesel welcomes the project: “The strip between the existing Augustiner logistics development and the A 96 is ideal for this.

In its statement, however, the BA demands that in addition to the planned district heating connection on the company premises, an energy supply for climate and environmentally friendly operation of the site is ensured - for example through the use of renewable energies or waste heat utilization.

In addition, the use of fossil combustion gases - i.e. natural gas - should be avoided as far as possible and sufficient truck parking spaces should be provided on the company premises.
