There was a melancholy mood in the church kindergarten St. Martin.

The educator Angelika Wirosaf, who is valued and loved by everyone, had her last day at work.

Because of the restrictions, there was unfortunately only one small farewell.

Weichs - When we said goodbye to Angelika Wirosaf, many tears shed - not only for the departing employee, who is taking early retirement at 63.

Born in Vistula, she worked in the St. Martin Kindergarten for a total of 30 years.

She worked under the direction of the poor school sisters Hermine, Rosa and - for the past six years - Gunda.

Wirosaf was sometimes deputy head.

She had a very good relationship with all of the sisters.

Wirosaf can look back on many wonderful memories.

Of course, she's had a few not-so-pleasant times, too.

For example, moving to containers, even if they all felt at home here in the end.

And then there was also Corona with all its restrictions.

She and the team were not discouraged and tried to keep in touch with the little ones at times when the kindergarten had to be closed, which worked very well.

At the farewell, the preschool children, accompanied by Sr. Gunda on guitar, surprised "their" Angelika with a few musical pieces.

They sang “Aba pfiat di, i hob di so gladly” and wished God's blessing in song form.

Marie Pfau thanked on behalf of the parents' council for the super trustful cooperation.

"We just let you go with a heavy heart," said Pfau.

Parish officer Elisabeth Gilliar spoke for the parish: “You have lovingly accompanied generations of children.

You could always feel your faith in dealing with the children and parents. "

For Gregor Höfelmaier, head of administration in the daycare network, Wirosaf has been a "permanent bank in the facility" for many decades.

Sr. Gunda said a "God bless you for the friendly and competent work together", with the words briefly stuck in her throat,

It was also difficult for Wirosaf himself to find suitable words.

“I go with one laughing and one sad eye.

But we will certainly see each other often in kindergarten, namely when I pick up my grandchildren here, ”said the outgoing teacher.

With the departure of Angelika Wirosaf after 30 years, a special era in kindergarten comes to an end, which she helped to shape with her love for the job and her calm manner.

An almost family-like cohesion between educators and parents has always been particularly important to her.

Even if it's not your way of being in the center of attention, there should be an official farewell on a larger scale with all parents and children at the big kindergarten party in May 2022.
