"I actually expect that the number of corona patients in intensive care units required to reach the warning level could be reached on Wednesday," Lucha told the German press agency on Tuesday.
Stuttgart - "If the value does not drop below 250 on Thursday, we will issue the warning level on Friday, after two working days."
According to the Corona regulation, stricter measures for unvaccinated people automatically come into force nationwide if the value of 250 is reached or exceeded on two consecutive working days.
Then, among other things, contact restrictions would again apply to unvaccinated people.
In addition, people who have neither been vaccinated against the virus nor recovered from Covid 19 disease would have to show negative PCR tests in many areas.
