A company spokesman did not deny such an agreement, but did not want to comment on the background to the online portal.
Stimoniaris was a powerful and controversial person at MAN.
The annual salary of the head of the works council, including bonus payments, should amount to more than 150,000 euros.
There is also an Audi TT as a company car.
That is not all.
Because of numerous supervisory board mandates, another 50,000 euros should have flowed into his account.

Several years ago, anonymous reports of illegal privileges granted to the head of the works council led to compliance proceedings in the VW Group, on whose supervisory board he sat.

But a few months ago, MAN's compliance department started investigating again.
One allegation was that Stimoniaris had unofficially used a colleague from the works council as a chauffeur.
Shortly afterwards, he left the company.

But Stimoniaris is not the only one who was bid farewell with a golden handshake.

, Martin Rabe, who took care of the Stimoniaris' termination agreement, also concluded a termination agreement with the MAN supervisory board.
This should also contain corresponding payment obligations to the ex-top manager.
A press spokesman wanted to comment on this, especially since MAN had stated in a press release that Rabe only wanted to take parental leave for a few months.
After Stimoniari and Rabe, the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of MAN and CEO of the VW truck holding Traton, Matthias Gründler, also vacated his post.
