Spectacular deployment of police forces this Tuesday in Malakoff.
A column of the operational support group (GSO) intervened to neutralize two suspects.
Two men who were in fact simple workers in intervention on the roof of an apartment building.
Only then, when she saw them, from the window of her home, a local woman took the two employees of a maintenance company for dangerous outlaws, animated, of course, with bad intentions. Shady men she hastened to report to the police after picking up her phone and dialing 17. “She explained that she saw men bustling about on the roof of a building,” says a police source. She even specified that, from what she had been able to see, they were hooded and equipped with long weapons ... "
Immediately the waves panic.
The men of the GSO, the police intervention unit, rush towards Malakoff.
On the spot, some of them are sent to the building opposite to establish a visual with the two suspects while the others stand ready to intervene.
Once the two men identified by the witness located, the police officers, heavily armed, land on the roof.
They easily apprehend the two dumbfounded workers, verify their identity, carry out all the usual checks… before quickly realizing the mistake.
“It wasn't a hoax, this poor woman thought she was doing the right thing,” smiles a policeman.
But these two men were workers on the roof to repair an air conditioning.
Nothing more.
