Munich - The feverish hunt, which the Munich police * kept in suspense for a day, came to an end on Monday morning without causing a stir.

Shortly after eight o'clock, officials at Pasing * train station arrested the young man (17) who had stabbed his 14-year-old girlfriend to death the day before in his parents' apartment in Denning (part of Bogenhausen *) *.

The investigators now caught him at platform 6 - and the man took it almost indifferently.

"The first time he came into contact at the train station, he seemed apathetic," reported Stephan Beer, head of the homicide squad, at a press conference on Monday.

So far, the young Munich * has not been questioned.

He was brought before the investigating judge and is now in custody.

Blood deed in Bogenhausen: when arrested, suspect has two knives with him

Two of the young man's friends recognized him at 8:05 a.m. at the train station, according to Beer.

They informed the railway security, which in turn called the federal police.

The 17-year-old was arrested ten minutes later.

Blood deed in Bogenhausen: 14-year-old murdered in her sleep with a stab in the chest

The whole city is shocked by what is known about the crime * so far.

"We are assuming a treacherous murder," says Juliane Grotz from the public prosecutor's office.

The girl was "innocent and defenseless": she was sleeping!

The act happened on Sunday between four and six in the morning.

This was confirmed by the autopsy, which was carried out on the same day.

The girl was murdered by a stab in the chest - while her family was crooked in the house.

Blood deed in Bogenhausen: suspect and victim were at least friends

The two young people had been friends for several months, says investigator Beer.

A loving couple?

The police leave that open.

Nothing can be said about the motif either.

The young person has often stayed with the 14-year-old.

On Saturday evening, the two of them went to the nursery together.

Then in the morning the shock: at 7 a.m. the mother found her lifeless daughter alone in the room.

She dialed the emergency number and is said to have helped with the resuscitation attempts - but in vain.

Blood deed in Bogenhausen: 17-year-olds face up to ten years imprisonment

Why did the 17-year-old do this to his girlfriend?

Grotz: "There are indications that he has a psychological problem." A psychiatric report should provide more detailed information.

It was more than 24 hours from the fact to the arrest.

Where the 17-year-old was during this time is still being determined.

The police don't want to say anything about his family background, he lives in the Munich district.

So far, the young person has not appeared under criminal law.

Because he is a minor, juvenile criminal law applies.

He faces up to ten years imprisonment.
