In celebration of the Arab Child’s Day, the Aleppo Culture Directorate organized a number of artistic and cultural activities for children within the activities of “Sanabelna Tthmar” that included a drawing workshop and a dialogue with the storyteller at the Arab Cultural Center in Aziziyah.
Jaber Al-Sajour, director of Aleppo culture, told SANA reporter that today's celebration, which is held in cooperation with the Islamic Charitable Complex in Aleppo, includes cultural, artistic and literary activities for children, in addition to interactive theater in cultural centers in the governorate and its countryside in Nubl, Al-Hader, Al-Nayrab, Al-Safira, and Al-Waha, with the aim of developing children's abilities.
Ahed Brady from the Life Skills Team in the Child Culture Department indicated that the aim of these activities is to send an awareness message to children and discover their talents and the things that roam their minds while providing psychological support to them in a loving manner.
This view was shared by Nour Zammar, the supervisor of children from the charitable complex, noting that these activities help children express their ideas and talents through drawing and colors.
The little girl, Ghani Zaraa, expressed her happiness to participate with her friends in the painting workshop, during which she painted the sunset scene as she sees it every day from her balcony.
The child Ahmed Al Ghurair also expressed his happiness by expressing himself in colors, as he drew the flag of Syria, while his friend Wael Ashlam drew a landscape depicting a children's playground.
The Arab Child Day is celebrated at the beginning of October in memory of the Palestinian child, Muhammad Al-Durra, who was martyred by the Israeli occupation forces.
