Dozens of rescue workers were on duty at Walchensee on federal highway 11 on Tuesday afternoon.
A serious accident had occurred at Einsiedl.

- As the police report, a 31-year-old Audi driver from Beilngries (Eichstätt district) lost control of his sports car in a sharp right-hand bend at about 11.40 a.m., got into the opposite lane and crashed into an oncoming articulated lorry.
The person who caused the accident was seriously injured.
He was reanimated at the scene of the accident and then flown by the rescue helicopter to the hospital in Murnau.
His co-driver, a man from Munich (31), suffered serious injuries in the impact and was also taken to the accident clinic in Murnau by the ambulance.
The 49-year-old driver of the articulated lorry, from Munich, was uninjured.
He was looked after by helpers from the crisis intervention team at the accident site.
Full closure into the evening
The rescue workers were at the scene of the accident with a large contingent: the paramedic team of the "helpers on site" from Walchensee, the fire brigades from Walchensee and Wallgau, the rescue services from Kochel and Mittenwald, the emergency doctor from Garmisch-Partenkirchen, the police and the helicopter Team from the accident clinic took care of the injured.
The accident resulted in property damage of around 100,000 euros.
A specialist company came from Bad Tölz to tow the two vehicles.
The public prosecutor's office ordered the involvement of an expert to clarify the course of the accident.
The B 11 was completely closed into the evening.
