While the political landscape is proving to be more uncertain and fragmented than ever, this survey, based on a large panel of nearly 3,200 people, reveals a clear evolution of the electorate.
Today, 37% of voters are on the right of the political spectrum, placing themselves on squares 6 to 10 of the left-right axis, against 33% in 2017, an increase of 4 points.
On the other hand, fewer and fewer French people are placed on the left or in the center.
The left represents 20% of voters, against 25% four years ago, and the center 18%, against 20% in 2017. Notably, nearly one in four French people (23%) say they do not want to be on the left-right scale.
