The two ships stuck in the Rhine are free again.
"You can go on," said a spokesman for the police headquarters operations, logistics and technology in Germersheim on Tuesday evening.
None of the ships was more seriously damaged.
Hagenbach / Germersheim - around 500 tons of diesel should have been pumped out of the tanker, after which it could have continued.
The passenger cabin ship was said to be maneuverable again shortly afterwards.
The two ships had blocked the Rhine on Tuesday near Hagenbach on the border between Rhineland-Palatinate and Baden-Württemberg.
