Finance Committee Chairman Chen Jianbo said that from 2020 to 2021, a total of 48 meetings will be held, with about 127 hours, and 120 projects approved, which is the most in this session of the Legislative Council. The approved projects involve a total commitment of about 327.8 billion yuan. .
Chen Jianbo described this year's work with "suffering and graciousness" and "like a world away." He said that after the opposition left the parliament, the Rab disappeared, and there was no need to clamor and be attacked, and the efficiency of deliberations was greatly improved.

He reported that 48 meetings were held this session, with a total of approximately 127 hours, and 120 projects approved (including 63 public engineering proposals, 27 non-public engineering proposals, and 30 personnel establishment proposals). The Legislative Council has the most; it only takes an average of 46 minutes to consider an item, much less than the 2 hours and 24 minutes of the previous session.
Approved projects involve a total commitment of about 327.8 billion yuan, or about 2.581 billion yuan per hour.
He pointed out that if we exclude the comparison of the emergency funding of the Epidemic Prevention and Anti-epidemic Fund approved during this session and the previous session, the amount of funding approved this session is the highest in this session of the Legislative Council.
Chen Jianbo emphasized that although the overall deliberation time has been reduced, the Finance Committee can perform its functions more effectively and consider grant applications in a prudent and rational manner, although the overall review time has been reduced. After the first question, it takes 7 hours to discuss and complete the deliberation. It does not take a lot of time to deal with procedures and order issues as in the past.

At the meeting, Chen Jianbo also criticized some government officials for being "unfamiliar."
He pointed out that in terms of officials this year as a whole, "I think they have made progress, but they are all good to see individual officials. It’s clear that some officials are in charge of a certain project. Maybe a member of the legislature found problems after reviewing the documents and he couldn’t cope with it.
