- It's been 15 months since the finance committee of the city of Freising took note of the feasibility study for the new building and the extension of fire station 2 in Lerchenfeld and commissioned the further planning steps. Years of deliberation and planning had already preceded it. Now, on Monday, the project was once again on the agenda.


The planning has now been revised, the costs have risen, a so-called VgV procedure for the planning services is now necessary. Conclusion: The new fire station 2 should be in place in the second half of 2024.

Head of the Building Department, Robert Naujokat, said that it was still the state of planning to preserve the existing fire engine hall on Katharina-Mair-Straße.

The attached vintage car garage is to be torn down and integrated into the new three-story extension building at the rear.

The building permit is expected by June 2022, so that the final project decision should be made by the city council in mid-2022.
