Yesterday, the Japanese capital, Tokyo, recorded the lowest number of infections with the Corona virus this year.
The Japanese broadcaster, NHK, quoted the Tokyo administration as saying that "health authorities recorded 17 new cases of the virus, which is the lowest daily toll this year."
The number of daily infections in Tokyo remained below 50 for the ninth consecutive day, while the total number of cases of the disease in Japan reached 1,716,938, and deaths were 18,199.
