'Harry Potter' author JK Rowling released her first Christmas book inspired by her son's confinement and stuffed pigs.

The author of the 'Harry Potter' universe is back and this time with a Christmas story for children: 'The Christmas Pig'.

Rowling revealed that the idea for this book came from a stuffed pig that was her son's favorite and later got lost.

The 56-year-old author bought an identical toy at the time, but when her son found the first one, she said the stuffed animals would be siblings.

It is a book about being lost and being found, about loving and being loved, about what stays with us and what fades away.

That was the description that Rowling gave the

when she launched the book, which can now be purchased through Amazon in the United States and Mexico.

The children's story shot to the top of the UK book sales charts after placing 60,010 copies in the first week.
