Lichtenfels - During his daily line tour, bus driver Jürgen Scholz (46) suddenly discovered an injured swan on the street on Friday (October 22nd).

The animal was bleeding from its leg and could not move its right wing properly.

He immediately informed the police in Lichtenfels * and the animal shelter.

When he drove by a few hours later, the swan was still there.

Together with a passenger, he drove the swan into a corner and caught it.

“He could almost bite off a finger with his sharp beak.” With a certain tactic, Scholz managed it anyway.

“I just took off my jacket, drove him into the corner and threw the jacket over his head so that it would get dark and he would be quiet,” says the 46-year-old.

Then he tucked the animal under his arm and put it on the bus.

“They call me by my first name and said, 'Oh, look!

The rest of the journey the swan was a real attraction.

“We have never had such a passenger!” Says Scholz happily.

One of the passengers stayed with the animal and shielded it with a jacket.

Heroic bus driver drives swan to the vet during his break

Scholz told the boarding passengers not to go back because he had an injured patient with them.

Three school children were also there.

“They were allowed to take a quick look from a long distance,” Scholz smiles.

During his break, Scholz then drove the injured swan to the nearest vet.

"At first nobody noticed, you only saw that someone was standing in the exit area with a jacket in their hand," says Scholz.

The swan was finally helped in the special clinic.

In the meantime, thanks to the courageous intervention, the animal makes a good impression again.
