Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian affirmed that his country is not enthusiastic about the United States' return to the nuclear agreement unless this return serves Iran's interests.
"We are not very enthusiastic about Washington's return to the nuclear agreement, if it is limited to its return only, but the most important is the result that results," Abdullahian was quoted by the Iranian news agency as saying during a press conference on the sidelines of the second meeting of the Afghan neighbors in Tehran.
Abdullahian added that US President Joe Biden should show a serious will to return to the nuclear agreement and prove to us the seriousness regarding the abolition of the embargo on Iran and the release of $10 billion in Iranian assets.
In response to a question about negotiations with the 4 + 1 countries in Vienna, Abdollahian confirmed that Iran will make its decision regarding the date for resuming negotiations with the group after evaluating the results of the talks of the Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs today in Brussels with the European official, Enrique Mora.
