On Wednesday morning the fire brigade sirens howled in the Isarwinkel and Loisachtal.
An accident had occurred on the B472 between Bad Tölz and Blomberg.
A truck had gone off the road.
Wackersberg - The accident occurred on Wednesday around 8 a.m.
At that time, a 55-year-old man from Neufahrn was driving his MAN truck on the B472 from Bad Tölz in the direction of Bad Heilbrunn.
Shortly before the parking lot at Blomberg, he took a slight left bend for an unexplained cause with the truck to the right of the lane and drove onto the guardrail.
This caused the vehicle to tip over to the right.
First responders rescue the driver from the truck
The 55-year-old driver was rescued from the truck by other road users.
To do this, the helpers smashed the windshield with an emergency hammer.
The man was then brought to the Bad Tölz hospital with moderate injuries by the BRK rescue service.
Fire brigade and road maintenance department in action
The Bad Tölz and Wackersberg fire brigades were used to provide technical assistance and traffic control.
They also worked with the road maintenance department to take care of leaking operating materials.
The Bad Heilbrunn fire brigade was also alerted.
The federal road was only opened to traffic again at around 11.20 a.m.
The road section had to be temporarily closed again and again in order to be able to recover the truck.
Only around 11.20 a.m. was the federal highway completely reopened for through traffic.
The property damage to the truck and guardrail is estimated at over 20,000 euros.
