China has issued an action plan for the realization of new development and the establishment of a fully green economy.
China News Network reported that the action plan aims to reach a peak in carbon emissions by 2030 and stabilize and then decline to make China by 2060 carbon neutral and fully established a green economy.
According to an official with the China National Development and Reform Commission, "China is still in the industrialization stage and faces a heavy task of developing its economy and improving people's living standards, so energy consumption will continue to grow."
The Chinese official stated that "China's goals to reach the peak of carbon dioxide emissions and achieve carbon neutrality are fully in line with the goals and requirements of the Paris Agreement and show China's determination in this regard."
