Music superstar Adele said Tuesday that she will play two concerts in London's Hyde Park next summer, the first in five years.

British media said the announcement caused its website to crash as fans rushed to sign up for an advance ticket sale.

The 33-year-old artist, who topped the charts in the US and UK last week with the comeback single "Easy On Me," took to Twitter with the message "Oiii Oiiiiiiiiiiiii," sharing the dates of the concerts on July 1-2, 2022 and the pre-sale link on their website.

The shows, which are part of the BST Hyde Park concerts, are Adele's first since 2017.

However, several British media outlets reported that the site had gone down, citing fans as saying they couldn't register for the pre-sale.

"I tried to subscribe for more than 2 hours but still have not been able to do so," wrote one on Twitter.

"I tried to sign up for @Adele's presale in Hyde Park but couldn't even sign up. It doesn't work haha! I think winning the lottery is easier than getting tickets to these concerts," wrote another user.

When clicked, the pre-sale registration tab on the website displays the message "Currently not available, please try again later."

Some fans said that they had managed to register.

Other performers at the Hyde Park concerts include Elton John, Duran Duran, and Pearl Jam.

Adele will release her fourth studio album "30" in November, the highly anticipated new album from the 2015 Grammy Award winner, following her hit album "25".
