Homs City Council workshops completed the implementation of a number of service projects in the city during the third quarter of this year, at a cost of 281 million pounds.

Engineer Haider Al-Naqari, Director of Works in the City Council, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the projects that were implemented included rain drains at a cost of 15 million Syrian pounds, and included the removal of about 2,000 rain grills, the repair of 50 other grills, and the sidewalk tiles project at a cost of 15 million pounds, where the northern axis of Homs was improved and beautified. Starting from the central Al Jazeera streets to Hama Road, from the old clock roundabout to the mill roundabout, in parallel with the rehabilitation works of the old clock roundabout and the mill roundabout, in addition to the rehabilitation of Othman bin Affan and Mimas streets, while continuing to rehabilitate Al-Jawiya roundabout.

Al-Naqari explained that the Al-Waleed suburb project has been completed at a cost of 191 million Syrian pounds, and the asphalting of 9 streets has been completed, leaving 5 streets currently under work to finish the project that includes asphalting 27 streets, pointing out that the project to rehabilitate Al-Sham Road has been completed, where the lighting has been completely completed at a cost of 60 million pounds, pointing out that The demolition of houses and real estate in dilapidated areas continues within the neighborhoods affected by terrorism in the city, where 23 properties were demolished.

Regarding the projects that have been started now, Al-Naqari indicated that a contract was signed to rehabilitate Al-Sayed Al-Rais Street in Al-Waer neighborhood at a cost of 400 million pounds. From the investment plan of the Council, which amounted to one billion and 200 million pounds this year.
