Where do all the energies come from?

Whether she's appearing on stage in a show, running on screen in spectacular action scenes in "Fauda" or dancing ballet, it seems that Rona Lee Shimon has an accumulation of energies that others do not have. Recently she is even doing more than usual, when alongside her acting, singing and directing career, she is a partner in business ventures from her content world - with a fashion and lifestyle website and in addition, this is her first year participating in the Festigal - without a doubt one of the largest, most invested and most intense shows in Israel. .

And yet, somehow Rona Lee always looks like everything about her is accurate and works effortlessly.

She says that rehearsals for the Festigal are particularly intense, and combine singing, acting and dancing almost every day, and yet she mostly enjoys the road and is not afraid of hard work.

"That's the part of this life," she says of the new, crowded schedule.

This is the first time I do the Festigal and I have heard that it is very very tough but I am looking forward to it.

They are all very purposeful, especially after the Corona, where we have not met on stage and have not met an audience for two years.

We are all very excited. "

So how does she do it? We turned to her to try to find out and understand how with the help of Turkish coffee and some interesting tricks she gets all the energies she needs, to look fresh and sweet and on the way, enjoy the road.

Calm morning routine:

"It changes a lot for me," she says of her morning routine. "I usually like to have between an hour and a half and two hours before I have to be in a certain place. I need my time in the morning. I don't like to get up, get organized and go out."

In those hours she mostly lets herself wake up calmly. She opens the morning with a glass of water with lemon and about a quarter of an hour later, a Turkish glass to wake up the body and give it a boost of energy and focus. After she wakes up, she moves on to cultivation. "I have a morning routine with my creams," she says. "I also do crystals for the skin. I keep them in the fridge and apply the creams with them. Just like a skin firming massage."

"Rehearsals for the Festigal really devour the whole schedule anew, because I rehearse early in the morning or until late at night." She says. But still,It's a lot of fun. "

Something sweet and ice baths ahead:

Rona Lee's days are full, and sometimes she also has a drop of energy during them.

On days like these, when she has to wake up for a meeting or audition, she drinks a glass of Turkish to get instant energy and get into the right rhythm of the day, and does one of two things: the first is simple - something small and sweet on the Turkish side, that brings her the extra boost she needs.

"If I have a drop in energy in the middle of the day I eat something sweet - fruit or chocolate."

On days when she really has to wake up the body, the second and more surprising option goes into action: "I dip my face in a bowl with lots of ice and frozen water. It wakes me up, like a cold market that wakes up the body."

Exercise:

"The most mature tip I can give is to just listen to ourselves. I really take care to be on the go, whether it's at the gym, ballet class, yoga or swimming. I don't exercise every day, but at least four times a week."

On the other hand, in recent years she has increasingly developed the connection between body and mind and tries to listen to herself and not go against intuitions and feelings. "I try very hard to listen to what is happening to me and my body. For example, if I have no strength, I will only do a ballet class and if I go to the institute, then I will do walking and not run or lift weights."

Pardon ourselves at rest:

"When I'm good to myself and listening to myself - then even when I have no energies, I get them from just listening," she says.

This is also the reason why she will never feel bad about herself, if she feels she needs a break and a moment of contentment with a cup of Turkish coffee that will give energies again, especially on days when she has a show in the evening.

The rest she takes comes without feelings of guilt: "I really like shanim," she reveals. "There are times when I really need it and give it to myself with love."
