Coalition negotiations: Lower Saxony and Bremer there

Many politicians from the SPD, FDP and Greens from Lower Saxony and Bremen are also involved in the coalition negotiations on a possible traffic light coalition at federal level, including both heads of government and several ministers.

For example, Lower Saxony's Prime Minister Stephan Weil is one of the SPD negotiators in the working group (AG) “Climate, Energy, Transformation”.

Hanover / Bremen - Bremen's Mayor Andreas Bovenschulte is part of the SPD team in the AG Mobility, where he also meets his deputy in Bremen, Environment Senator Maike Schaefer, who is part of the negotiating delegation of the Greens.

Other well-known names in the working groups include Lower Saxony's Environment Minister Olaf Lies (SPD), Hanover's Lord Mayor Belit Onay (Greens), Bremen's Senator for Social Affairs Anja Stahmann (Greens), Lower Saxony's Interior Minister Boris Pistorius (SPD) and FDP parliamentary group leader Stefan Birkner.

The core team of the main negotiators also includes SPD General Secretary Lars Klingbeil, who sits in the Bundestag for the Heidekreis and the Rotenburg district.
