Kassel - The nationwide seven-day incidence has increased significantly.
The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) stated the number of new Corona * infections per 100,000 inhabitants and week on Wednesday morning (October 27, 2021) as 118.0.
For comparison: On Tuesday (October 26th, 2021) the corona value was 113.0, a week ago it was 80.4.
The health authorities in Germany reported 23,212 new infections to the RKI within one day.
This is evident from the numbers that reflect the status of the RKI dashboard at 4:28 a.m.
A week ago the value was 17,015 infections.

The case numbers of the RKI can differ from those of the individual federal states. One reason for this is the longer transmission routes between the RKI and the responsible health authorities. The RKI's Covid-19 dashboard can also be adjusted during the day.
Corona in Germany: RKI reports number of cases - 114 deaths recorded
According to the new information, 114 deaths related to Covid-19 were recorded across Germany within 24 hours.
A week ago there were 92 deaths.
The RKI has counted 4,506,415 detected infections with Sars-Cov-2 since the beginning of the pandemic.
The actual total number is likely to be significantly higher, as many infections are not recognized.
The RKI stated the number of those who had recovered at 4,237,100.
The number of people who died with or with a proven infection with Sars-Cov-2 rose to 95,359.
Corona case numbers: The incidence of hospitalization in Germany increases to 2.95 on Tuesday (October 26th, 2021)
The number of corona patients admitted to clinics per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days - the most important parameter for a possible tightening of the corona restrictions - was given by the RKI on Tuesday at 2.95 (Monday: 2.77).

With the indicator it must be taken into account that hospital admissions are sometimes reported with delay.
A nationwide threshold value from when the situation can be viewed critically is not provided for the incidence of hospitalization, among other things because of large regional differences.
The previous high was around 15.5 around Christmas time.
