"With a view to the climate and mobility turnaround, which will remain the main task after Corona, we also recommend ... promoting the job ticket even more," he told the German Press Agency on Wednesday on the sidelines of a three-day public transport industry meeting in Frankfurt on the Main river.
Frankfurt / Main - “Job tickets should be part of the employment contract like health insurance.” DB Regio AG is responsible for Deutsche Bahn AG's local public transport in Germany.
In Hesse, for example, many state employees already have a state ticket, and state tickets are also available for schoolchildren and pensioners - the "inhibition threshold" for using public transport is then much lower.
"Even if the ticket is only used five times a month, it pays off and it pulls people from the streets to the rails," said Sandvoss.
