As is well known, happiness doubles when you share it.

That is why the network is to be further developed and marketed more intensively.

Tobias Klöck, employee in the regional development, economic development and tourism department, has helped shape the project from the start and has every reason to be happy. Because since the official opening of the Glückswege in May 2020, Klöck has received a lot of positive feedback - also from greats in the tourism industry such as Professor Dr. Heinz-Dieter Quack, who remarked at an exchange meeting: “Something like that has to exist for the whole of the Allgäu!” Previously there were only large stages or small tours of the town. The hiking trails for a maximum of half a day are the perfect complement.

In the meantime, a lot has also happened in terms of marketing. Image films that are currently in post-production were shot for every lucky path. Social media channels have been used and the homepage continues to grow. But that is not the end of the flagpole, because the Glücksweg should continuously develop in cooperation with the communities. As a positive example in the right direction, Klöck cites the interactive nature trail in Kettershausen, which takes up the topic of water and also ensures great moments of happiness for little hikers. The “Glückswege im Allgäu” adventure space design project is a long-term project. Partner communities should make their routes even more attractive with additional adventure stations and make the Unterallgäu a real experience.

The paths of happiness are subsidized as part of the “Regional Identity” model funding scheme from the Bavarian State Ministry.

According to Klöck, quality monitoring is also important.

For example, rest areas should be set up where necessary.

Communities are welcome to make suggestions.
