An educator is said to have sexually abused five children in a daycare center in Bönningstedt (Pinneberg district).
"We are conducting a preliminary investigation against an educator in a day-care center on charges of serious sexual abuse of children," said a spokesman for the Itzehoe public prosecutor's office on Wednesday about relevant media reports.
Bönningstedt - "The procedure is based on a report from parents, after which other parents have reported." The police investigations continued.
The parents and the five possibly affected children would be questioned as witnesses, the spokesman said.
"I would like to point out that the presumption of innocence applies in favor of the accused."
