The Koblenz-Mayen employment agency is converting this year's company outing into a day of help in the flood-damaged Ahr Valley.
The meeting point for the around 80 expected employees is today (8.30 a.m.) in the helpers' village in Grafschaft high above the river valley, as the authorities say.
From here, the employees are to be brought into the narrow river valley by shuttle service for volunteers.
County - Flood damaged buildings still need to be gutted before they can be rebuilt.
Homeowners and helpers remove plaster from walls and tear off floor coverings.
In the flash flood on July 14th and 15th, after extremely heavy rain, 134 people were killed in the Ahr valley and thousands of houses were destroyed or damaged.
