The Ussishkin House Museum of Nature and Knowledge of the Land was inaugurated 66 years ago in Kibbutz Dan, at the northeastern end of the State of Israel.

The founder of the museum was Elimelech Horowitz, a member of Dan.

One of the main reasons for the establishment of the museum was the patient drying plant and the understanding that there is an urgent need to preserve the memory of the animals and plants that will disappear from the dying lake.

A year ago, after a large financial investment and long-term work, a new permanent exhibition was inaugurated at the museum: "Settlement in the Galilee."

The exhibition is built as a historical sequence from the days of the ancient city of Yesh to the present day - the new settlement in the Hula Valley.
