Kirchheim / Aschheim
- The “Erdinger Straße” motorway bridge between Aschheim and Kirchheim will - as announced - be closed to traffic from midnight on Thursday. The diversion takes place via the Kirchheim near Munich junction to the south. Pedestrians and cyclists can initially continue to use the bridge. Currently, a temporary bridge is being pushed in over the motorway next to the old bridge, which, according to the Autobahn GmbH, will be installed in good time before the old bridge is demolished on the weekend of 12/13/14. November will be free for pedestrians and cyclists. The bridge over the A 99 is closed to motorized traffic until the beginning of 2023.
The work is part of the expansion of the Munich motorway ring from six to eight lanes in the future.
Two temporary bridges have been built over the A 99 for this purpose since the middle of the year.
The temporary bridges are used to start traffic during the subsequent construction period for the new bridges.
With the expansion of the motorway ring, the noise protection for the residents will be improved.
