Zirl - On October 26th, around 4:30 p.m., a 41-year-old German was driving his car up the Seefelder Straße in the area of the Zirler Berg towards Seefeld when it started to burn in the engine compartment for an unknown reason. The man was able to leave the vehicle on his own before it caught fire. The alarmed volunteer fire brigade was finally able to successfully fight the fire. No people were injured in the incident, but the car was totaled. Seefelder Straße had to be completely closed for the duration of the fire fighting operation and then there were mutual stops until 6:20 p.m. The Zirl volunteer fire brigade with three vehicles and 16 emergency services, the rescue team with four emergency services and one police patrol each from PI Zirl and PI Seefeld.The vehicle is registered in the district of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. db
