Herrsching - The municipality of Herrsching has received another photovoltaic system.
A system with a capacity of 30 kWp was recently installed on a section of the flat roof of the fire brigade building in Herrsching.
The construction of the plant took two days, the basic decision of the municipal council was already made in 2016.
As with other projects in Herrsching, the Energie-Genossenschaft Fünfseenland eG took over the planning, construction and, above all, the financing.
The investment of the citizens involved through the cooperative is refinanced through a monthly lease.
The system saves around 12 tons of CO2 per year.
The fire brigade will use the approx. 30,000 kWh of solar power per year, also to make themselves somewhat independent of rising electricity costs.
The existing community-owned photovoltaic systems will thus be expanded to include another system.
Little by little, the remaining potential on communal roof areas will also be addressed.
