Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh denounced the allegations of the Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Iran that were submitted to the United Nations General Assembly at its 76th session, describing them as “prejudicial and hostile.”
Zadeh said in a statement that the report of the Special Rapporteur is based on a selective view and includes politicized goals.. He described the allegations as absurd and devoid of any value, which are rejected and condemned, calling on the Special Rapporteur to condemn the consequences and devastating effects of economic terrorism practiced against Iran.
Zadeh referred to the main sponsors and protectors of the agenda of the Special Rapporteur, stressing that some of these countries are carrying out the largest international attacks against Iran with regard to human rights, and it is itself one of the biggest violators of human rights in the world, by imposing an unjust embargo against the Iranian people and arms sales.
