Hundreds of motorists were stranded in Piazza Duomo and many streets in the city center, stricken by the bad weather.

Since yesterday, our city has experienced a dramatic situation linked to the weather conditions that afflict the entire eastern part of Sicily,
” wrote the mayor of Catania, Salvo Pogliese, on Facebook.
He evokes an unprecedented catastrophe.
