Now it is certain: The Geisel family has found a buyer for their royal court, the luxury hotel on Stachus.

Hans Inselkammer with his INKA Karlsplatz GmbH & Co. KG has acquired the traditional hotel.

It is not the first property owned by the Inselkammer family.

It has been certain since mid-August that the Geisels would sell their flagship at Stachus.

Since then, there has been a lot of speculation as to who the house will go to.

The name René Benko also made the rounds in the rumor mill: The Austrian real estate baron already has a lot of property in downtown Munich.

The Geisel family was won over by the Inselkammers offer

“The property met with great interest.

The Munich location as well as the location and high quality of the property are very attractive for investors and hotel operators, ”says a company spokesman for Geisel Privathotels.

The offer from INKA Karlsplatz GmbH & Co. KG ultimately convinced the Geisel family when viewed as a whole.

“For over 100 years, the Königshof stood for one of the top hotel addresses in Europe and was known worldwide for its gourmet restaurant.

With the family Dr.

Hans Inselkammer, the hotel will have an owner who is also committed to this host philosophy and tradition as Munich's calling card, ”says Carl Geisel.

The new royal court should be ready by mid-2023

The Königshof is currently still under construction.

The new building by the Spanish architecture firm Nieto Sobejano should be completed in mid-2023, when the Inselkammer family will take over.

“We are currently holding talks with international hotel brands that might be considered as future hotel operators.

We are convinced that such a special luxury hotel can be positioned most successfully in the market under the umbrella of an international brand, ”says Dr.

Hans Inselkammer.

The new Königshof will have 105 rooms and suites, and retail space is planned on the ground floor.
