A 66-year-old man from the eastern district of Schwandorf * has long been in the sights of the investigators.

has grown cannabis on a large scale.

The district court of Amberg had granted the public prosecutor's request and granted a search warrant.
The police discovered a cannabis breeding facility on the 66-year-old's property in early October.
According to the officials, there were some cannabis plants around two and a half meters high in a greenhouse.
Because of the large number of people, the Amberg Criminal Police Office was immediately called in, which took over the further investigations on site.
A trailer was used to transport the plants away.
Schwandorf district: suspect is released on the day of the search
After consulting the public prosecutor in Amberg, the suspect was released on the day of the search after all necessary criminal investigation measures had been carried out.
In the meantime, the Amberg police force has dried the usable parts of the cannabis plant.
