Maintaining a bustling and bustling home that looks neat and practical is a challenge.

Building a house is always a long and complex process.

Build one like this without planning ahead and rolling into it thanks to a sequence of good events, it's even more complex.

"Building a private home includes, in addition to many managers and logistics, a lot of decisions regarding planning and design," says designer Meital Canaan, owner of the Moma Design firm.

"It is the dream of 'building the house of dreams', but there is difficulty in all the complexities of such a process. My challenge is to produce a positive and fruitful journey and ultimately fulfill the dream."

In the case of this project the tenants asked for a house with a homely and warm atmosphere, but at the same time maintain planning with spaces and precise design.

The thought of combining things was in front of the designer's eyes in the planning and design and material choices in the house.

"This is a very young, kicking and fun family with a lot of movement (4 boys, anyway) and despite this character it was important to maintain a classic, clean, non-colorful look, combined with natural materials but not colorful and noisy. All this combined with an organized and practical home that somehow "Despite the movement in the house and the people who live in it, it will maintain the classic look. One of my ways to achieve this was with the help of a high and precise level of finish, the so-called HIGH END," she explains.

Maintaining contact between all the spacious and remote spaces of the house.

The guideline for the division of space was known in advance: the ground floor - a wide public space for entertaining with double space, an extra large dining area and a very wide, functional kitchen, adapted for planning where a kitchen is the center of the house.

In addition, the master suite is very luxurious, and guest services.

Living floor - white public space, for their accommodation and entertainment, in addition to 4 bedrooms with identical functions, and each two bedrooms have an en-suite shower and toilet.

In addition, a wide gallery overlooking the public space below, and a service and laundry area.

The basement floor was designed to be used for work space from home with future planning to be used as a housing unit for one of the boys.

On the ground floor, emphasis is placed on creating a separation between the living space and the kitchen space.

The living room has been carefully cared for, with double space, a luxurious seating system for reclining, and reclining and reclining armchairs from every direction.

The upholstery chosen for the seating systems conveys luxury but at the same time maintains practicality and is easy to clean.

Here, too, we have combined these two worlds that accompany us in every decision at home.

Family and warmth versus classics and design.

20 people for a spontaneous dinner?

No problem.

In order to create dynamics between the living room space and the bedroom area, an internal window is created that allows another part of the floor to be seen only implicitly.

All this is surrounded by huge showcases up to a height of six meters, which overlook the garden and pool.

In addition, there is an upper gallery on the living floor, which is decorated with rich vegetation, and it also maintains the connection between the family members who are in the different parts of the house.

Between the living space and the dining area and the kitchen are the guest services and access to the master suite.

In the dining area we have created a knights table that can seat 20 people, and is always ready to entertain.

The table is made of recycled wood and upholstered and comfortable seating chairs have been placed around it.

This home is a host, cook and family home, and it was important for the tenants to have a dining area ready for a wide stay at all times.

To keep the dining area pleasant and well-designed, it has been incorporated into a huge library where design and art details as well as family details and photos have been scattered.

Even when the dining area is not in use it does not feel like a wasted and orphaned space, as it might happen, and has become a designed and central area.

The kitchen has been carefully designed according to the cooking needs.

In a house where there are four young children and in addition a fondness for hospitality, the kitchen was of great importance, especially from a practical point of view.

"It was important to me to combine luxury materials and produce a smart design that would not only detract from the functionality but also allow for a clean and stylish look that speaks the language of the house," the designer explained.

Another consideration was that the kitchen design needed reference to the separation between meat and milk which doubles the need for a sink and storage.

This is why it has wide work surfaces, two sinks, a combined gas and induction system and a variety of storage spaces.

In order not to create a load, only one wall received tall cabinets and even in them a 'window' was opened in the carpentry with a hive for storage and design details.

"We also chose natural materials here, walnut wood veneer, natural granite marble and 'built-in' appliances to maintain a clean and designed line," says Canaan.

What fun to get up in the morning for this view from the window.

The parents' suite (Photo: Einat Dekel)

The master suite is designed to keep the spaces of the public space, and stay close to them for the comfort of the couple and for forward thinking.

The suite is very luxurious, and includes a wide space overlooking the pool with huge showcases, a huge toilet and a very large shoe closet, a bathroom with a double sink, and a huge shower that is fully open to the bedroom, and of course a luxurious closet.

To create interest and a luxurious look, the sleeping space has been carefully designed from natural materials with a mostly soft and bright look, with delicate lighting details and carpentry that blend in with the view from the shop windows, and do not take the attention away from it.

The bathroom space is designed in complete contrast in terms of materials and colors, with black marble porcelain granite flooring and cladding with capillaries for a dramatic and luxurious look, while the combination of the two spaces created the combination between family and classic.

As you ascend the stairs to the children's bedroom floor you are exposed to another display case that accompanies the ascent and brings in plenty of natural light from outside, at the end of the staircase is the gallery overlooking the living room space.

"The gallery was designed in a rounded structure and decorated with vegetation, to give it a different and emphasized look that the eye will choose to go there, thus constantly producing the dynamics between the two spaces," Canaan explains.

"One of the concerns of a family when it moves into such a large home is to lose intimacy. It was important for us to try to maintain it in these large spaces as well."

Maintaining a masculine, mature, stylish and elegant look.

The boys' rooms are similarly designed, each with a double bed, a designed and functional closet and a computer corner and storage hive.

The materials chosen for the floor on the living floor are natural wood parquet that adds warmth, while for the walls and carpentry blue, gray and black colors were chosen to give a masculine, mature, stylish and elegant look.

In the bathrooms (of which every two bedrooms share one) a dramatic design with concrete-like porcelain combined with wood paneling was chosen.

Much emphasis is also given here to the classic-elegant look, in the lighting fixtures, faucets and finishes.
