Landtag advises on budget draft

Baden-Württemberg's finance minister Danyal Bayaz (Greens) will have to reckon with a lot of headwind at the start of the budget deliberations in the state parliament today.

The deliberations on the draft budget for 2022 begin with the budget speech by the government's chief treasurer. Bayaz himself has already pointed out possible budgetary risks.

Bayaz had to fend off numerous requests for overspending.

However, the minister hopes that the tax estimate will be positive in November and that the country will have further leeway.
