Magdeburg - A good quarter of a year after the start of the Lotto-Toto Saxony-Anhalt funding program for new e-bike charging stations, over half of the funding has already been awarded.
The first 17 applications for the funding of charging stations have been approved, said Lotto-Toto in Magdeburg.
A total of 76,963 euros in lottery funding will flow into more e-bike mobility in Saxony-Anhalt.
"More and more Saxony-Anhalters are turning to e-mobility for cycling in order to get ahead more relaxed - and to arrive," said Lotto managing director Stefan Ebert.
Lotto was happy to take up the desire for more charging options for e-bikes with the funding program.
"We are very pleased that this is so well received and shows that Saxony-Anhalt is a cycling country."
A total of 150,000 euros are available as part of the funding program.
Non-profit organizations, municipalities and foundations can submit applications.
Up to 15,000 euros are possible per application.
The funding program runs until the end of June 2022. If the total volume is used up before then, the application deadline is earlier, they say.
