Baden-Württemberg Health Minister Manne Lucha (Greens) has welcomed the plans of the SPD, Greens and FDP in the federal government for the future legal situation in the corona pandemic.
"It is important to continue to give the federal states a legal basis through a transitional arrangement in order to effectively combat the pandemic," said the minister in Stuttgart on Wednesday.
Stuttgart / Berlin - Mask requirement and restrictions for unvaccinated people, hygiene concepts and the tracking of contacts are necessary measures. "Baden-Württemberg will therefore stick to its model of basic, warning and alert levels, the restrictions of which are mainly aimed at those who have not been vaccinated," said Lucha.
According to the Baden-Württemberg Corona Ordinance, stricter measures for unvaccinated people automatically come into force nationwide if the value of 250 corona patients in the intensive care units is reached or exceeded on two consecutive working days. Then, among other things, contact restrictions would again apply to unvaccinated people. In addition, people who have neither been vaccinated against the virus nor recovered from Covid 19 disease would have to show negative PCR tests in many areas. Lucha is already expecting this in the coming days.
The possible future government partners SPD, Greens and FDP do not want to extend the legal basis for extensive corona restrictions in Germany any further.
The “epidemic situation of national importance” is supposed to end after around 20 months on November 25th.
The main reason given by the three groups on Wednesday was the progress of the vaccinations.
For a transition period up to March 20, 2022, however, the federal states are to be given less comprehensive requirements.
