The security of bailiffs in Hesse is to be improved in the future with mobile alarm devices.
In a first field trial, the devices will be tested in the Kassel regional court district from November 5th.
Kassel / Wiesbaden - “It happens more and more often that they are insulted, insulted or even attacked.
It is therefore important to me that bailiffs are given special protection, ”said Hesse's Justice Minister Eva Kühne-Hörmann (CDU) at the opening event for the one-year test phase on Wednesday in the Kassel district court.
"It's also about increasing the employees' sense of security through the mobile alarm during their operations," said Kühne-Hörmann.
According to the Ministry of Justice, the small mobile device can be used to set off a silent alarm in an emergency by pressing a button, concealed in a trouser pocket, for example.

Scaffolding acceptance at Cologne Cathedral is postponed: Too strong wind
The inspection of the scaffolding on the north tower of Cologne Cathedral planned for Tuesday has been postponed.
The reason for this is strong wind, said cathedral spokesman Markus Frädrich in the morning of the German press agency.
“There are already relatively strong gusts at the cathedral.” During the day, these should become much stronger.
"It is better to postpone it than to have to break off in the middle," said Frädrich.

This is confirmed by vibration.
The alarm then triggers in the control center, which is manned around the clock on weekdays.
From there, the bailiffs are located using GPS data and the responsible police station is then contacted.
The respective floor on which they are located can therefore also be recognized.
In the test phase, according to Kühne-Hörmann, 41 bailiffs in the Kassel regional court district will be equipped with the devices.
In the budget, 30,000 euros are earmarked for this.
"If the test phase is well received and the mobile alarm works in practice, the alarm devices will be available for around 300 bailiffs across Hesse," said the Minister of Justice.
