Homs-Sana
The quantity of loaded and unloaded materials in Homs Railway Branch during the third quarter of this year amounted to 197143 tons.
Engineer Mohsen Mahmoud, director of the branch, said in a statement to SANA Economic Bulletin that the amount of unloaded materials during the mentioned period amounted to 61,268 tons, including 30,316 tons of barley, 11,498 tons of iron, 9,598 tons of wheat and 9856 tons of corn, indicating that the amount of loaded materials amounted to 135,875. Tons included loading 24,567 tons of gravel, 107,525 tons of fuel, 1,443 tons of phosphate, in addition to 10,640 cubic meters of gravel, in addition to other materials.
Mahmoud pointed to the continuation of work on several projects, including the dry port project in the industrial city of Hasya and the rehabilitation project of the Quttaina station lines, pointing out that work is underway to implement many economically feasible investment projects with the aim of increasing the financial and economic returns despite the difficulties encountered. Work as a shortage of manpower, materials and equipment for railway maintenance.
