The death of famed blogger Gabi Patito continues to make headlines in the US: Florida State Police in Florida have released a statement denying the "false reports" claiming that a DNA test of the body found in northern Florida last week did not match Brian Lundry, a fiancée of Petito.
Recall, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has announced that the human remains found in the Carlton Nature Reserve in Florida belong to Lundry (23).
However, the tests surrounding the findings including DNA tests have not yet been completed.
"The identity of the remains found in the Carlton Reserve on Oct. 20 was confirmed through a comparison to Brian Laundry's dental records," local police said Tuesday in a quote from the official statement from medical experts.
We have received a number of inquiries Tuesday about a false report of DNA not matching Brian Laundrie.
Below is the Medical Examiner's statement on the matter.

Meanwhile, a North Fort Police spokesman Josh Taylor admitted that investigators made a mistake in identifying when they followed the house after Lundry's absence and confused him with his mother Roberta, following a clothing item the woman was wearing.
"The body structure is pretty similar," Taylor said.
"There is no perfect investigation," he added.
Patito's fiancée was declared missing on September 17 after his parents reported the case to police, after he was defined as a "stakeholder" for investigation under local law enforcement.
The blogger's body was found two days later with signs of suffocation, so it was determined based on the findings that the 22-year-old was murdered.
Authorities are now trying to find out who committed the atrocity even though until now they have refrained from officially blaming a particular person.
