The testimony of former Ministry of Communications Director General Avi Berger, who served under Communications Minister Gilad Ardan from 2013-2015, and promoted reforms in the communications market, continued this morning in the Jerusalem District Court.

Adv

.

Jacques Chen, representing Shaul Alovich, began Berger cross-examined questions about Berger's work at Partner, before his appointment as CEO of the Ministry of Communications. Shit and I had no conflicts of interest. "

Chen showed in court that as a senior partner, Berger appeared before a committee and recommended advancing a reform on a principle similar to the one that would be promoted later in the wholesale market, and Berger confirmed "yes, this is one of the solutions that came up at the time."

Adv. Chen questioned Berger about his relationship with Eli Kamir. Yesterday, Berger testified in court that when he asked to be appointed director general of the Ministry of Communications, he met with Kamir "so that he would be impressed by him" and would meet him and Gilad Ardan.

Chen:

Did you know that Eli Kamir was Partner's lobbyist?

Berger:

After I got to the Ministry of Communications I did not know it before

Chen:

why it did not come up in your investigation at the Securities Authority, not in

Berger's

testimony

:

The answer is that I am an independent person not anyone's lobbyist. With me about things Partner needs, he told me at one point that he was moving to Bezeq

Chen: The person who introduced you to Minister Arden was Eli Kamir, who was Partner's lobbyist at the time. In other words, Partner's lobbyist introduced you to the Minister of Communications so that Partner would have a 'Partner' in the Ministry of Communications.

Chen expressed surprise that Berger claims that he did not know that Partner's lobbyist Kamir "Neither he nor you know each other about what the other is doing in Partner on the same issues to open the cellular market to competition ??".

Berger: I do not remember.

Chen reminded Berger of his testimony in court yesterday, in which he testified that after he was appointed director general of the Ministry of Communications, he met with Berger a few times where they discussed gossip, rather than ministry matters.

Chen asked Berger about Eli Kamir's testimony to the police, in which Kamir talked about continuous contact in matters of work with Berger in matters of communications space - a company controlled by Eurocom.

Chen presented Berger with an email in which he updated Kamir regarding a particular committee.

Chen:

Eli Kamir reports to Or Elovich on meetings with you.

Does it refresh your memory that you stood with Eli Kamir for a continuous and regular relationship for a long time?

Berger admitted that he was in contact with Kamir: "It refreshes my memory that we were in contact regarding a space company that deals with satellite communications, regarding the renewal of the license. I do not remember if it came up in meetings here. "
