Bavaria can look forward to a ski season this winter.
However, it will work a little differently than usual: The 3G and also the 2G rule are on the agenda.
Munich - Last winter, the ski areas were closed due to the Corona * pandemic.
The complete standstill caused enormous losses for the lift operators.
The hope for a rush in the coming season is therefore great with them.

Corona rules in Bavaria's ski areas: There is great hope for a “normal” season
If the incidence is over 35, the 3G rule currently applies (vaccinated, recovered or tested negative).
It should also apply to cable cars and lifts.
"We are pleased about the promise of the Bavarian state government that there will be no lockdown * and that the cable cars can plan the winter season securely with 3G," said Matthias Stauch, President of the Association of German Cable Cars and T-bar lifts, in a message.
Although it does not actually regard the cable cars as “closed spaces”, the association supports the 3G rule in order to be able to guarantee safe winter sports.
However, the Bavarian state government has not yet established precise rules.
In many ski areas, however, the 3G rule is firmly reckoned with, which poses personnel challenges for the operators.
In the Mitterfirmiansreut ski center, at most, a random check is considered possible.
Andreas Stadler, the press spokesman for the Arberbergbahn, told
Bayerischer Rundfunk
that he still hoped that a mask requirement, but not 3G, would apply.
In the current Corona situation in Bavaria, however, this seems rather unlikely.
Season tickets in Allgäu ski areas are only available with 2G proof
What is already certain: In many ski areas, season or annual passes are only given to people who have either been vaccinated or have recovered. As the operators announce on their website, this 2G regulation already applies to the following two associations: Super Snow Card and Allgäuer Glacier Card. This includes eight ski regions in the Allgäu, Kleinwalsertal and Tannheimer Tal. The Allgäu-Gletscher-Card also includes two Austrian ski areas.
The reason for the scheme?
Lift operators could only check the Corona evidence at the cash desk, said Allgäu GmbH to the
BR
.
However, if you have a season ticket, you don't have to go to the cash register, but can go straight through the turnstile and get into the lift.
Carrying out a check directly at the lift is too time-consuming and could lead to long waiting times.
