Three Pakistani police officers were shot dead Wednesday in Lahore (east) by protesters from Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP), an Islamist party that has been behind a violent campaign against France for nearly a year, the Pakistani government announced.

Supporters of the TLP, officially banned and classified as a “
