According to "krebsonsecurity" report, the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) raided the Florida office of PAX Global Technology on the 26th, US time.
U.S. investigative reporter Brian Krebs quoted information on his website "krebsonsecurity" that the raid was related to the suspected use of the PAX Global System as a cyber attack against organizations in the United States and the European Union.
According to reports, PAX Technology Inc., headquartered in Shenzhen, China, has more than 60 million sales terminals in 120 countries/regions.
Earlier, WOKV.com, headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida, reported that agents from the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) raided the local PAX Technology warehouse.
An official statement stated that investigators only told WOKV that as part of a federal investigation, they were conducting a court-authorized search of the warehouse, including the Department of Customs and Border Protection and the Naval Criminal Investigation Service (NCIS).
The FBI did not comment on the report.
Pax Global's parent company Hi Sun Technology (0818) fell 16.3% to $1.08.
