The conspicuous behavior of a car driver brought the police in Kölleda (Sömmerda district) a large drug discovery.
The police said on Wednesday that a 37-year-old who was suspected of drug use had been checked.
The officers finally found 200 grams of synthetic drugs - amphetamines and methamphetamines - in the driver's backpack.
Kölleda - The monetary value of the drugs was initially unclear.
The drug discovery on Wednesday night was followed by searches in two properties in Kölleda and Sangerhausen (Saxony-Anhalt).
No other drugs or items were seized, according to the police.
The 37-year-old was provisionally arrested and is to be brought before a judge.
